  • This site has been discontinued and has been dormant for two or three reasons.

When premium inadvertantly expired, Xanga deleted all of my sideposts, which were an important aspect of this site. It included the list of moral lessons, such things as: Don’t Lie, Don’t steal, Steer clear of  bad seed, Don’t f… on the first date, or with so many people, Stay away from nudist camps (except to find large elm trees..)  ETC  [IMPORTANT NOTE: I AM A XANGA LOYALIST. I HAVE ADORED THEIR SITE AND USED IT EXTENSIVELY FOR YEARS. THE ABOVE MENTIONED COMMENT IS NOT MEANT IN A DISPARAGING WAY. WHEN THE SIDEBARS WERE ACCIDENTLY DELETED, XANGA WAS QUICK TO APOLOGIZE TO THEIR PUBLIC. ALSO, I DO NOT WANT TO SEE AN OUTFLOW FROM XANGA TO ANOTHER NETWORK, ESPECIALLY OF CREATIVE PEOPLE. I ALMOST ALWAYS SEEM TO ABSENTMINDEDLY REFER AND PREFER XANGA WHEN TALKING WITH OTHERS.] whew! Did I save my neck on that insert, or what? Xanga is a very professional organization that I hold in high regard. THERE!

Other moral lessons include: Don’t pester whales! Especially – Don’t BITE them! Keep looking for big trees! There must be some. Keep your dog, or somebody elses (if you have it), on a leash…

Someone objected to some use.  It was on a major (funny) story line which had gone on some time, and, despite the nature of my character, I wanted to respect that.

As VeryModern stated – “I never talk about anyone without letting them know.” During the course of my storytelling, I always tried to do that. I liked that VM was always such a gamer. Generally, as far as I was aware, everyone pretty much played along with my audacious story lines. (VM was not the abovementioned person)

This was experimental. I wanted my character to be without restraint. Profanity was a little prolific, though with the gunslinger character, it became an art form.

After looking over this site again, a couple of years later, and rereading it, but backwards; many of the pictures are x’ed; also, it seems disjointed. However, taken in the context of the time it was written, it was vastly entertaining to write, and I hope some who participated in some way, thought so too. Gunslinger, MY gunslinger, is a painted picture of (what’s the word)… NARCISSISM.

Of course this basic idea, in a barebones way, is taken from the idea of Stephen King’s. It is similar is this regard: He is a shadowy character who transends space and time in pursuit of a nefarious enemy. Other than that, as far as I know, we differ substantially. To Stephen King – “Is it okay?” Incidently, I have read that Stephen King had inspiration from spaghetti westerns.

I evidently had a connection with the great writer Christopher Moore, who has a nifty proclivity for the absurd and outrageous. I might have picked that up from him. His “Island of the Sequinned Love Nun” is quite a read. Also, “my” whale biting dog Barky, predated his whale with the tailfin inscripted “bite me”. Proud, if you got the idea from me.

Snickers, the candy bar company (Mars), had a dog named Barky for a television commercial. That dog was sick compared to mine… However, I think again that someone had seen my Barky. The connection is again appreciated, and I used Snickers in my storyline. Red-eyed Gunslinger had a perpetual need for Visine. Alas, I don’t know of anyone at Visine who noticed.

Billy Bob Thornton may have seen my gunslinger, or someone involved in his movie, Bad Santa. If there was a connect there in some way. Shit…, Aww, you shouldn’t have… Was that the same little fat kid whose picture I used? Anyway, it was a similiar type of laughable but profane T-shirt. (I love that little kid. Thanks for recognizing me dude, if you really did.)

There are several anga users who inspired me profoundly. Without even mentioning particularly those who I used in my story line, my idea of “The Wild Xanga Frontier” begat these stories. The Wild Xanga Frontier would certainly not come into fruition had it not been inspired by those early artizans of xanga including RiotttGirl, ErinGoBraless and her bar and brothel, The Regulators, Bob’sLeftNut and Cerveza and Cerveza’s Bar. I had enormous fun with the concept of “the wild xanga frontier, where anything can happen”. It was like a twilight zone experience.

I intended for it to be known that my xvgunslinger character was written and narrated by Virgil Green, who in turn, is one of my primary characters from another series. I will not mention the name of the connection here (yet?) as I am unsure whether I want to completely use these groupings interchangeably. I will say though, that I have used Virgil Geen on Myspace (I have not done much creatively there up to now. If I do anything significant related to this character, I will likely also post it here.) though I meant that I have another xanga spot. As another character, my Virgil Green is part of a larger troupe who consider environmentalism to be important, with Virgil being the prolific writer of the group. I have used Virgil as the name of my gunslinger character, but in reality, or should I say “reality”, Gunslinger is XV, that is, ‘not Virgil’. The storyline forever bleeds the two together, wirh Virgil the narrator interjecting commentary. I also wish to say that in real life, I like the name. I also like Cerveza, who in this story, gunslinger called mother. Actually, she was Virgil’s mother. I wouldn’t want my offspringt to be surly misanthorpes, would you?

I’D LIKE AT THIS TIME TO SAY HELLO TO COMRADE VLADIMIR PUTIN, or whoever else visited this site in recent days from the Russian Federation according to the recently installed xanga trackers.

  • Wow, its been years, haha. Glad you are still a proud xanga person. Ultra cool if those movies and comercials and things actually got their ideas from you, just awesome. Hope all is well. Take care and Alohaz!

  • That was a baseless comment. I have no idea how funny God is… so you win by default :)
